How to Find the RIP Number
Gather Your CCP Check
Locate the 10-Digit CCP Number
On your CCP check, you will find a 10-
digit number. This is your CCP number,
and it's essential for making a transfer.
Find the 2-Digit CLE Number
Next to the 10-digit CCP number, you will
see a 2-digit CLE number. Be sure to
include this CLE number when filling out
your CCP number.
Verify the 12-Digit CCP Number
Combine the 10-digit CCP number and
the 2-digit CLE number to form a 12-digit
CCP number. This is what you'll use for
your transfer. You should write it down on
the transfer form.
Optional Placeholder Number
On some CCP checks, you might see a placeholder before the 12-digit CCP number.
It's "00777779". While it's not necessary to include this placeholder, it is also valid.
You can write it on the transfer form along with your 12-digit CCP number, but it's
optional.
Double-Check Your Entry
Before submitting your transfer, double-check to
ensure you have the correct 12-digit CCP number,
and optionally, the placeholder number
if you included it.
This will help avoid any mistakes
during the transfer process.
